My team and I heard about this awesome OREO cookie lesson from the third grade teachers at our school and of course, since it involved OREOs, we had to try it!! The structure of the paragraph will be my focus as I monitor work. I always go over the standard with my students on the Smartboard, and then we connected the opinion writing standard to the OREO writing model using these anchor charts.
